Rumours suggest that scriptwriter and actor Amol approached Aamir for a movie. It was a topic close to Amol’s heart which he felt only Aamir could do justice to. Our source said, “Amol met Aamir in recent times and the two even had detailed debate on the topic as the actor heard Amol out patiently.

“Apparently, the subject dealt with children and issues concerning them. Aamir felt the plot was very similar to what they had done in first film. Though Aamir has great regard for Amol as a story teller, the actor felt that he would be getting repetitive in the movie so he politely turned him down,” said our source

After playing a milkman, Aamir Khan will be seen as a barber and a shopkeeper in new TV ads. Aamir, who is the brand ambassador of TataSky, plays a barber and a shopkeeper in two various tv ads of the DTH service.In both the advertisements, the consumer walks in asking for a special haircut or a white shirt, while he is forced to take some thing totally various.The scenario shown in the movies draws a parallel between the DTH companies and the barber and the shopkeeper and has been disclosed through the use of humour and satire.

The characters are inspired by his movies. The film is a tribute to SRK no doubt, but I hope that people are not reading too much between the lines. I am not trying to do a movie with SRK as of now. If the industry is gossiping that I’m trying to win SRK to my side with this movie, I haven’t met him in a long time now

Actor  Aamir Khan might have decided to take a time off this year, concentrating on the release of his two productions, but the actor is keen to get back to acting. And doing just that, Aamir Khan has signed on Reema Kagti’s new film, which will be produced by Farhan Akhtar. Kagti is one of the few seriously acclaimed directors who has ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd’ to her name. And with Aamir by her side, Reema has decided to opt for a suspense drama this time round.

Confirming the reports, a source said, “There has been a lot of theory about the movie Aamir will sign next, particularly because it’s been more than ten months he hasn’t signed one since the release of ‘3 Idiots’. Also, reports has been doing the rounds that the actor has taken a break just to read scripts, which have been lying with him since he got busy with Peepli Live. ”Aamir signing Reema’s movie comes as a astonish to many since many reports suggested that the actor might sign Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dhoom 3’ or Anuraag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Dreams’As per sources, Reema has written the script of this film with Zoya Akhtar.

And for the leading ladies, reports suggest that the film will have two leading ladies. The film will be jointly produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s company Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions and will go on floors in February 2011

An invite to the prime minister’s private dinner for the US first couple was an honour enough, but when President Barack Obama praised his work, Aamir Khan was on cloud nine.

The actor, who was invited to the dinner by PM Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road residence, was cornered by the waiting media people as soon as the do got over at around 10 p.m. Sunday.
