When Yash Raj Films gauged the potential of investing in tv they launched in to Tellywood with YRF band of shows. However the shows did not do well and soon were pulled off-air back to back. Now the production house has sensed the potential of young director and so has decided to set a department called Y Films (Y for Youth).

It will be headed by Aditya Chopra and will comprise of young filmmakers.The objective of this project is to make intelligent, small and medium budget films. Success of films like ‘Udaan’ and ‘Peepli Live’ has been an eye-opener of the industry, to an extent that YRF that always believed in making mega-budgeted films set abroad that too with celebrities, turned to set special department for this kind of movies.

Rohan Sippy`s ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ collected Rs.6.2 crore in India on the very first day itself. The movie director is happy with the reaction particularly since the film challenged contest from the continuing IPL. It`s an excellent start! We’ve got a fantastic reply from the south, particularly from Hyderabad. As well as metro areas have provided a good responses and very good footfalls too.

Made at a price range of around Rs.20 crore, the movie launched Friday in 20 countries around the world at 350 worldwide venues and at 1,000 cinemas and multiplexes all over India.Sippy is assured the film will bring great earnings over the very first few days as it has grossed Rs 11.4 crore around India, Usa, Great britain, UAE and Australia on it’s very first day itself.

“It is a very early to begin forecasting statistics, but we’re positive the film will receive great word of mouth promotion and will carry on receiving a great viewers through Saturday and Sunday. Till then, we have been patiently waiting and observing!” he explained.

Bollywood Film producer Anurag Kashyap will get married his girlfriend of 2 yrs Kalki Koechlin on April 30.The pair, involved this January, are absolutely not getting married in Mumbai but may solemnise their relationship, either in Benares (Kashyap’s home town) or in Pondicherry (Kalki’s home town).A source mentioned, “Anurag and Kalki are in love and desire to get wedded. Their families have set April 30 date. The pair desires a basic relatives event with a very simple marriage ceremony apart from the press hype and so, have not told anybody.

A very personal guy, the Dev D movie director did not desire anybody to receive wind of the marriage ceremony. Surprised, he nevertheless verified, “Of course, I’m planning a wedding on April 30 and have taken leave from all my personal promises for ten days. Our wedding ceremony is a private event and will be joined by just relatives and quite good friends. I’m departing tomorrow and that is why I’m in a hurry to get my wedding ceremony clothes done. It’ll be a basic wedding service.”

The pair accepted to their engagement just a short while ago but insisted that they’re caught up with work and had not set a date.

Bollywood actor Abhishek’s movie ‘Game’ has been re-scheduled. The team gives the reason that a few part of work is still left to do in the movie, which would take time and so the film has been postponed. However, it is smart of them to not pitch Abhishek’s film against Aamir’s ‘Dhobi Ghat’.

Already Abhishek’s movie ‘Game’ was keeping away from the release of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dhobi Ghat’ by scheduling the release on January 2011 but when Dhobi Ghat the release of ‘Game’ has been re-scheduled. Although Dhobi Ghat is an offbeat low-budget movie, it has given jitters to many filmmakers
