Akshay Kumar and Sanju don’t get along!

Ego clashes between two co-stars on the sets of a film is a director’s worst nightmare.
And that’s just what is giving Blue’s director Anthony D’Souza sleepless nights. Actors Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar’s ego battle is proving to be hazardous to this film they have surprisingly consented to do together. We hear that owing to Sanju’s demands, the shoot scheduled for Feb 22 had to be canceled. While some claim that Sanju is putting off shooting with Akshay, many say that Akshay too hasn’t done anything particular to make Sanju comfortable.
Little does everyone remember that the Sanjay-Akshay jhadga dates back to 1994, owing to an incident while working together on Raj Sippy’s Amaanat.
Recalls our reliable source, “Akshay was relatively new in the industry then and Raj was planning to picturise a song on him. When Sanjay got to know about this, he managed to convince Raj to do the song with him instead of Akshay. And Raj had consented. 15 years down the line, Akshay is still nursing a grouse against Sanjay. He tactfully skirted around the topic and even reminded Sanjay of the Amaanat episode. Things get really difficult when the two are together on the sets.”
Director Anthony though prefers to put a brave face and says, “I don’t have any issues on my shoots. Sanjay and Akshay will be shooting together only from March 1 and our sets are bring readied. The story about whatever happened on Feb 22 isn’t true.”
From Sanjay’s side, Dharam Oberoi, CEO of Sanjay Dutt productions, says, “Akshay and Sanjay have no issues. The two exchange hugs every time they bump into each other.”
However, a source close to actress Lara Dutta, who is also a part of Blue says, “We were informed that there’s a shoot on Feb 22. But just a few days before the shoot, Lara was told that the shoot was canceled.”

Twinkle’s big Diwali plan, Akki

The festival of lights is round the corner and everyone is in great festive mood. Bollywood stars are in high spirits and making plans to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner. One couple who is really excited about celebrating with family and industry friends is action hero Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna. The duo is going to host a grand Diwali bash on October 28 at their Juhu residence. All the bigwigs of Bollywood are invited and Twinkle is making all the arrangements as Akki is out of station and he will be flying down a day before the festival.

They have got a long list of guests that includes, Vipul Shah, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sajid Khan, Rani Mukerjee and Katrina Kaif, the Bachchans and the other Khans are also being invited. The Chopras, Pamela and Aditya Chopra have also been invited along with Karan and Hiroo Johar and Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder. David Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Anees Bazmee are in the guest list.

The Bachchans will surely make a presence as Twinkle’s sister Rinke and Shweta Nanda share a good relationship. Aishwarya and Abhishek are expected to attend. Shahrukh won’t be attending as he will be off to Delhi with Gauri’s parents. Salman is expected to attend with family.

This is the first time Akshay Kumar is throwing such a grand bash to his friends. He is in celebration mood as this year has been very favorable for him with so many box-office hits.

Akshay Kumar was not informed about the flip

Akshay Kumar was not even informed that he had been replaced by Shah Rukh Khan in Billu
Though it is known that initially, it was Akshay Kumar and not Shah Rukh Khan who was to play Sahir Khan in Priyadarshan’s Billu, the astonishing fact is that Akshay had not the slightest inkling that he was ousted from the project till the very last minute. Or that SRK had taken over the film and that it was to be produced by SRK’s banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Our source said, “The script of Billu (then known as Billu Barber) was narrated to Akshay Kumar as director Priyadarshan was keen to make the film with Akshay. Priyan believed that any film of his that did not star Akshay failed at the box-office. For instance, Priyan’s film Kyunki with Salman Khan, Dhol with Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi and Mere Baap Pehle Aap with Akshaye Khanna. Akshay liked the script of Billu and everything was finalised.”
Interestingly, Akshay was also supposed to produce the film under his banner, Hari Om Productions. “A couple of people from Akshay’s production company were to accompany Priyan to see some locations in Cochin. However, just a day before Akshay’s people were to leave for Cochin with Priyan, the actor was informed that the film was called off. Akshay was completely unaware that Priyan had met SRK who agreed to not only star in the film but also produce it,” said our source.
“After Akshay got to know about SRK’s involvement in Billu, he and Priyan had a meeting at Mehboob studios. That’s where Priyan personally told Akshay that he was making the film with SRK. There was no bitterness between Akshay and Priyan as they mutually decided to not make a big issue about this.”
A source close to Priyan said, “Priyan had always wanted to make a film with SRK. Earlier too, they had discussed quite a few subjects but nothing really worked out between Priyan and SRK. Priyan happened to casually narrate the script of Billu to SRK. The actor loved the script and told Priyan that he wanted to make it under his banner. Regardless of Akshay being his lucky mascot, Priyan who had been looking for an opportunity to work with SRK was more than happy and decided to make the film with SRK without informing Akshay.”
Now that Billu has proved to be a damp squib at the box-office, we figure Akshay is having the last laugh.

Akshay Kumar Inspired By a Makeup Man

That in his film Chandni Chowk to China Akshay Kumar plays a guy from Chandni Chowk, Delhi is a known fact. But what is not known is that Akshay’s inspiration for his character was Narendra dada who has been his make up man for over 20 years. For his role in the film Akshay has taken all his mannerisms, speaking style and even moustache from Narendra.
Narendra said, “I didn’t know that he had copied me until he told me about it. He said yeh sab aapka copy kiya hai maine. I was quite taken aback. He even said that his moustache is like mine. When I told him that I don’t have a ‘chotti’, he said that he was sure I had one when I was in village.”
Narendra further added, “Despite Akshay being from Delhi he said that he has spoken and acted the way I used to as I was in Delhi for a long time. He says that I speak like a person from Chandni Chowk. Whenever anyone says good morning or good evening, I always say namaste, this is one of the things that he has used in the film.”
