Shilpa Shetty, who’s lately bought IPL shares in the Rajasthan Royals, is all set to shoot a sizzling music video to promote her cricket team.
The song an evocative Rajasthani-folk number entitled ”Halla Bol” has been composed by Anand Raj Anand. It will be choreographed by Ken Ghosh who stopped doing music videos once he became a feature filmmaker.
Says Shilpa excitedly. “I’m so glad Ken is making an exception for me. We chose Anand Raj Anand because he’s an expert at catchy folk songs. I first worked in a film with his music when he scored for Pardesi Babu. I was simply bowled over by the numbers. Today ,when I hear the song he has composed for our team, I feel deeply enthused.”
So enthused is Shilpa and her beau and co-partner Raj Kundra by the Anand Raj Anand’s Rajasthani song that they’ve apparently decided to shell out a mini fortune close to Rs.1 crore, to shoot the song featuring Shilpa. Though Shilpa isn’t revealing any more, a source close to her says her IPL music video would be better than anything that she has done before.
Says the source, “From ”UP Bihar Lootne” to ”Shut Up And Bounce”…Shilpa’s item songs have always been special. She wants her IPL music video to be her best item song ever. She’s working on the costumes, accessories everything in advance so that when they shoot the video in March she’ll sizzle like never before.”
Close to Rs.3 crores are expected to be spent on the music video. Laughs Shilpa, “I’m not revealing any figures, except the one that you’ll see in the music video.”

Tears of joy filled Shilpa Shetty’s eyes when she saw the waiter, who used to serve her often at Wasabi, the Japanese restaurant at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower hotel here, on her first visit after the terror strikes. “I had tears of joy when I met Ronald, the Mangalorean waiter who’s always served me, spoken to me in Tulu, my mother tongue, and always made me feel at home. I had a sigh of relief when I saw him,” Shilpa posted on her blog. Shilpa says she was supposed to be at the hotel on Nov 26, when terrorists attacked the hotel. And entering the hotel after nearly two months brought back many feelings, “some not so good” for Shilpa. “The hotel still looked a beauty, the only major change being the security that had been beefed up. Entering the hotel lobby brought back a whole lot of mixed feelings – nostalgic, some happy, some not… But by the end of dinner, it was all worth it. Nothing’s changed, the menu, the quality, the service and above all the spirit and positivity.
“It was heart-warming to see the beaming faces of the hotel staff and the warmth they extended. This was my first step towards getting over the deep pain and fear that 26/11 left on me,” she wrote.Though Shilpa was happy to see the usual hustle-bustle at the hotel, she says it will never be the same again. “I will always be haunted by a lot of memories, but the irony is that some things will always be the same – Wasabi, my favourite restaurant and Mumbai, my favourite city.”The dinner was a surprise planned for the actress by her friends and businessman beau Raj Kundra. “If it didn’t come as a surprise visit, maybe it would’ve taken me longer to make my first visit,” said Shilpa.

Actress Shamita Shetty has added oomph to Hari Puttar – A Comedy of Terrors by featuring in a sizzling song. However, the sexy sister of Shilpa Shetty says her song in the movie is just a fun song and not an item number as described by many.”It is a masti number where I play myself. The song is peppy Punjabi song. To term it as an item number is not correct. It is a kids’ film,” Shamita told reporters in Mumbai.Shamita said she was approached for the promotional video after the film was shot. “I liked the concept and took it on. I enjoyed every moment of shooting for the video. It was a fun song and I had to dance with Zain Khan (Hari Puttar) and other kids,” she added.
To a question on why she was not seen much on silver screen, Shamita said she was busy with the production house that she and elder sister Shilpa plan to start. “I am running my production house now and it takes up a lot of my time. I do not get much time to do films and I need something that I enjoy to take it up,” she added.
